Y4C was launched during the 2021 Milan PreCOP and, thanks to the collaboration between the Italian Government and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), has become a permanent initiative.<\/p>\n<p>Young people are increasingly acknowledged as vital contributors to transformative climate action, playing roles such as negotiators, innovators, inventors, entrepreneurs, and agents of change. However, they face a significant shortfall in essential technical, financial, and political resources and support needed to fulfill their aspirations.<\/p>\n<p>In response, the Government of Italy and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have set out to identify, support and scale youth-led climate breakthroughs through the global Youth4Climate initiative.<\/p>\n<p>This Call for Solutions aims to support the work of young people and youth-led organisations in five thematic areas: Climate and Environment Literacy, Sustainable Energy, Food and Agriculture, Nature Assets, Sustainable Consumption and Production.<\/p>\n<p>Successful applicants will be awarded:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Up to US$ 30,000<\/strong>\u00a0to implement or scale the proposed innovations.<\/li>\n<li>The possibility to\u00a0<strong>access technical support<\/strong>\u00a0to strengthen their capacity on specific topics.<\/li>\n<li>The<strong>\u00a0support from a mentor<\/strong>\u00a0to develop their proposal.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Storytelling opportunities<\/strong>\u00a0during next events of the Youth4Climate initiative and through the Youth4Climate Platform and Website of UNDP and its partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Proposals can be submitted in English, French, Spanish or Portuguese.<\/p>\n<p>For more info, <a href=\"https:\/\/community.youth4climate.info\/callforsolutions2024\/instructions\">https:\/\/community.youth4climate.info\/callforsolutions2024\/instructions<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The \u201cYouth4Climate\u201d (Y4C) initiative aims to support the active participation of young generations in climate negotiations through a dedicated online platform.
