NAIROBI, May 14, 2026 – The Italian Trade Agency (ITA) announces the opening of the 2026 Kenyan edition of Lab Innova for Africa – Luca Attanasio. The second Kenyan edition of the program will take place on June 22–26 in Nairobi, and is specifically designed to equip high-potential, tech-enabled startups with the technical and managerial competencies required to scale from local to global markets.

The program is limited to 30 participants and its costs are covered by ITA. Selected participants will be sponsored (exclusive of airfare) for a study tour in Italy.

The program facilitates access to EU markets and cultivates strategic industrial partnerships with Italian enterprises. Since its inception in 2019, Lab Innova has been successfully implemented across 20 African nations, including Nigeria, Senegal, Tunisia, and Morocco. A key strength of the initiative is its close collaboration with local institutional partners; for this edition, ITA welcomes the Association of Startup and SMEs Enablers of Kenya (ASSEK) as a network partner.
