Applications are now officially open for Cyber4Africa, a new programme designed to strengthen the cybersecurity capabilities of startups developing artificial intelligence-based solutions.

The initiative is the result of a collaboration between the AI Hub for Sustainable Development, Cyber 4.0 and Cisco Kenya, with the support of the Italian Government. It aims to promote the adoption of security-by-design principles in the development of innovative technologies, contributing to the growth of a safer, more resilient and trustworthy digital ecosystem across Africa.

Through a six-month programme, selected startups will gain access to specialised cybersecurity assessments, training activities, technical support and opportunities to engage with international experts in the field.

Announced in Nairobi during the AI Forum co-organised by the Embassy of Italy, the programme represents a further example of cooperation between Italy and Africa in the areas of digital innovation, sustainable development and technological capacity building.

Applications are open until 8 June 2026.

Further information is available on the dedicated AI Hub for Sustainable Development website.
