50th Anniversary of Indipendence of Kenya, message from the President of the Italian Republic, Giorgio Napolitano

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Indipendence of your country, I wish to express my personal and also on behalf of the Italian people the most heartfelt wishes for prosperity and peace for Kenya.
It is my sincere hope that the strengthening of relations between Nairobi and Rome can be accompanied by an effective collaboration, with the main international organizations and within the framework of the relations with the European union, for the stability, security and development of the horn of Africa region.
In this spirit, I convey my sincerest wishes for the well-being of your people.
