9TH Edition of the Pietro Conti Prize – Writing on Migrations

The Umbria Region announces the ninth edition of the “Pietro Conti” Prize, named after the first President of the Regional Council of Umbria, who devoted himself with coherence and passion, both at regional and national level, to the recognition and protection of the rights of migrants.

The “Pietro Conti” Prize consists of two sections:
a) FICTION/MEMOIRS, for stories or literary descriptions, situations, feelings and life experiences in the context of migration. Also biographies and autobiographies describing with precision and due references, true migration experiences.
b) STUDIES AND RESEARCHES, on Italian emigration or on immigration to Italy, conducted in any Italian or foreign university, research centre or higher education institute or conducted by individual scholars. In such case, should the entry be written in a foreign language or have a length and scope exceeding the criteria specified in the following Article 4, the competitor shall send an extract in Italian not exceeding 15 pages, together with relevant bibliography, as well as an information sheet on the study or research being submitted.

Participation to the “Pietro Conti” is open to any interested person, whether he or she resides in Italy or abroad.
