The designated Ambassador of Italy to Kenya, Vincenzo Del Monaco, together with the Director of the ICE (Italian Trade Agency) office in Nairobi, Giuseppe Manenti, inaugurated the Italian pavilion yesterday in Nairobi at the international fair, “The Big 5 Construct Kenya.” This is the most important expo dedicated to the construction sector.
The Nairobi ICE office, which is also responsible for Tanzania and Eritrea, is participating in the event with an Italian collective of companies spanning both technology and building materials sectors.
Following numerous participations by Italian companies in previous editions, the response this year has also been positive: ICE Agency is present with 17 companies representing various areas of the construction supply chain, including: fixtures and fittings, plastic and aluminum profiles, plumbing and sanitary systems, taps and faucets, paints, and more.
The fair, which is held at the Sarit Centre exhibition complex in the Kenyan capital, features the participation of over 200 exhibitors from 18 countries and has already accredited 4,000 industry professionals as visitors.
To further the promotion of the participating Italian companies, the ICE Africa offices have organized incoming delegations from Tanzania, Uganda, and Rwanda.
