The Embassy of Italy in Nairobi reports that the ongoing crisis in the Middle East is causing significant disruption to international air traffic, resulting in delays and cancellations of flights to and from Kenya.
The Embassy recommends that travelers immediately contact their airline to check flight status and options regarding refunds, date changes, or rebooking.
For Italian nationals already in Kenya, the notice states that there are no internal travel restrictions nor additional risks related to this situation, and normal safety precautions for the country should be followed.
Because the situation is still evolving, the Embassy suggests monitoring real-time updates through:
• the Viaggiare Sicuri portal and app (for country information and regional alerts),
• the Embassy of Italy in Nairobi website,
• the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) site for flight information.
It also advises Italian nationals to register their presence abroad via the “Dove siamo nel mondo” service for potential emergency communications.
